Nathaline & David's Black Tie Wedding at Stones of The Yarra Valley

Venue: Stones of The Yarra Valley

Photographer: Lina Lim Photography

A couple embraces joyfully in a decorated venue with fairy lights and floral arrangements. The groom in a suit kisses the bride in a white dress.

Elegant, romantic, and full of heart (and some seriously good roses).

When PS Weddings reached out about Nathaline and David’s wedding day at Stones of the Yarra Valley, the brief was classic and timeless but the palette had a little extra charm. Instead of a straight white look, we leaned into soft pastels: blush, peach, creamy neutrals. Subtle, romantic, and seriously pretty.

It was black tie, but with a light, relaxed energy. Sophisticated, but not stuffy. The kind of wedding where everything looks effortless (even though every detail was carefully thought through).

The Ceremony Setup

Held in the chapel at Stones, the ceremony was all about clean lines, soft details, and florals that didn’t shout—but absolutely knew they were invited. We went heavy on white David Austin roses (because, obviously), added fluffy hydrangeas for fullness, and tucked in dahlias to give everything that slightly wild, romantic edge.

The result? A calm, collected floral moment with just enough drama to stop you in your tracks (without stealing the show from the main event—hi, Nathaline).

The Bouquet

A Total Classic

Nathaline’s bouquet was all white roses, hand-tied and totally timeless. We kept it pure and polished, letting the David Austins do their thing—full, ruffled, and photo-ready from every angle. No filler, no fluff. Just beautiful flowers doing what they do best.

Reception Vibes:

Effortless Elegance Once guests moved into the barn, we kept the mood going. Low, relaxed table arrangements filled with more David Austin roses, hydrangeas, and dahlias set the tone, paired with candles, soft lighting, and a styling brief from PS Wedding that hit the sweet spot between romantic and refined.

It was warm, it was welcoming, and it felt like the kind of space you could settle into and never want to leave. Job done.

Our Approach

This kind of classic styling is all about knowing when to step back and let the flowers speak for themselves. Every placement was intentional. Every arrangement flowed into the next. And while the colour palette stayed tight, the textures, those ruffled roses, bold dahlias, soft clouds of hydrangea kept everything feeling rich and full of life.

Big Love to Nathaline & David. Thank you for letting us be part of your day. It was stylish, warm, and full of love - just like the two of you.
